AT&T Get $ 31 Million HUD VPN Contract
AT&T has landed a new contract with the 93 Department of Housing and Urban Development sites. The 31million dollars contract will see AT&T offer VPN services to HUD sites.
The contract stipulates that telco will offer its Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service to the HUD giving the agency a secure internet connection.
What we see here is a deliberate effort by a federal agency to migrate from Frame Relay to the modern and secure VPN network.
Now, the thing about VPN is that it is not limited to the federal agencies; it is a service that anyone with an internet can take advantage. What VPN does is it provides unparalleled internet security and anonymity.
While we are not saying that every internet user should go to AT&T and get a VPN contract; what we recommend is that everyone find a good VPN service provider like HideMyAss (read complete review)and get their internet security issues handled.
Think about it, if federal agencies are going the VPN way, why should you be left behind?
